Joel P Wyman, 54, of Upton, MA; formerly of Ashland, MA and Gloversville, NY died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 12th at his home. He was the son of Stan and Joyce (Almonte) Wyman of Belchertown, MA. He was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1972. He worked for General Motors in Framingham for many years before moving to Gloversville, NY. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jack Wyman of Holliston, Jay Wyman and his wife Cheryl of Holliston, two sisters, Jan Porter and her husband Paul of Upton and Jill Ackerman and her husband Owen of Ashland, four nieces and nephews; Courtney Canto and her husband Carlos of Natick, Christopher Wyman of Holliston, Kali and Cara Ackerman of Ashland, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Jean Ann and Jane Almonte Wyman. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 16th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland followed by cremation. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com ) 325 Main St. Ashland.
