Joao Albino Lage, 56, of Ashland passed away Friday April 3rd after a period of declining health.  Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Luis and Maria Celina (Monteiro) Lage and husband of Christine (LaPointe) Lage.  Joao worked in the construction industry and enjoyed spending time with his family and trips to Cape Cod to go fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Korrie Tucker of (Town) and Corinne Lage of (Town), one granddaughter, Mina Tucker, brother Manny Lage, sisters, Lucia Lage, Maria Lage, and Lucinda Moore, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Wed. April 8th from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
