JoAnn (Cecelia Ann) Harwich, 75, of Framingham, passed away March 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She lost a courageous battle against cancer and will be dearly missed by family and friends. JoAnn was born on January 11, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio to Jack and Ann (Bakes) Manushaw of Ohio; she was the eldest of two daughters. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 51 years Ernie; five children: Jackie and her husband George LaPointe, Jennifer and her husband Dick Vaughan, Jannine and her husband Mike Ricchiazzi, Julia and her husband Dan Pettinato and Jack and his wife Mani. She leaves behind seven grandchildren who affectionately called her Gigi: Anthony, Tyler, Bella, Annie, Brody, Luke and Alexis. She also leaves her sister Marguerite and her husband Terry Kors of Tampa, Florida. JoAnn worked for many years in the Framingham Public School System. She was a member of the Framingham Country Club and enjoyed golfing, bowling, bridge, and visits to Ledyard, CT. She especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with family and friends and attending her beloved grandchildren's many activities. JoAnn was a very caring and giving individual with a wonderful sense of humor. She was always up for an adventure and enjoyed meeting new people. Throughout her journey she touched the lives of so many and she enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to those who showed such care and compassion over the last several months. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 18th at 12:00 PM in St. Matthew's Parish, 105 Southville St. Southborough with interment to follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery Framingham.
