Joan (Turner) Bushey, 86, of Ashland passed away on March 15, 2007 at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Leo Bushey who passed away in 1979. Born in Johnston, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Charles and Isobel (Harker) Turner from Yorkshire, England. A resident of Ashland since 1954, Mrs. Bushey was the former owner of Horizon's Unlimited Travel. After her retirement in 1989 she was a tutor in the Framingham Literacy Program. She leaves two daughters, Karen Bushey and Judith Bushey Eneguess, both of Ashland, and several cousins. She also leaves four godchildren, Kathy Furber Smith of Maine, Michael Burlingame of New York, Michael Byrne of Hawaii, and Leigh Nuttall of Essex, England. A funeral service will take place Wednesday morning, March 21st, at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Chapel at Saint Patrick's Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham. Burial will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 18, from 3-5 p.m. at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA 01721.
