Jeanne Marie Fitzgibbons, 80, of Ashland, passed away Wed. Jan. 3rd unexpectedly at her home. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo (James) and Albina Guido and wife of the late James Fitzgibbons who died in 2008. Jeanne worked in accounts receivable for Sage Laboratories in Natick until retiring in the mid 1990's, and was a former member of the Heisey Glass Club in Milford. She was a friend to many, and a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Fitzgibbons is survived by five children: Michael J. of Ashland; Mark and his wife Holly of Sherman Oaks, CA; Shawn and his wife Sterling of Westboro; Laura J. Fitzgibbons of Falmouth; Lisa A. Cook and her husband Steven of Bellingham; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two sisters, Olga DiVittorio of new Paltz, NY, and Mary Basile of Framingham. She was predeceased by four brothers, Nicholas Guido, Guerino Guido, Mossimino Guido, and Eugene Guido, and four sisters, Celia Romanovich, Alma Cimino, Josephine Pasqualone, and Elizabeth Alberta and her grandson Michael J. Fitzgibbons Jr.   Jeanne left us peacefully on the ten year anniversary of her husband's passing.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday Jan. 11th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland with the burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
