Jean L. (Hunt) Robie, 84, longtime resident of Ashland passed away peacefully Tue. April 17th. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Brett) Hunt and wife of 65 years to Arthur Robie. A graduate of Ashland High School, Jean stayed in Ashland and raised her seven children. She was affectionately known as Grammy or Mimi by her grandchildren. After raising her own family, Jean began a second career working with children as an aide at Little Folk Farm in Ashland and later joined the Ashland After School program as a teaching assistant. She truly enjoyed the time she spent with children and often spoke fondly of them.

In addition to her husband; she is survived by her five daughters; Deborah Pandolfi and her husband Tom of Ashland; Doreen Pace of Milford; Dawn Spiri and her husband Kelly of Milford; Daphne Kovatsi and her husband Stephen of Medway; and Diane Gerrie and her husband Norm of Grafton; her two sons; Brian Robie and his wife Donna of Medway; and Keith Robie and his wife Susan of Ashland; her 17 beloved grandchildren; Tina, Craig, Jennifer, Scott, Nicholas, Sean, Gina, Cameron, Ryan, Curtis, Travis, Hunter, Stephen, Domenic, Anthony, Austin, and Taylor, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was the sister of Janice Orlando of Holliston, Lorraine MacDonald of Florida, and the late Edyth Calabrese and the late Warren Brett. Jean was very proud of her family.

A funeral service will be held Sunday April 22nd at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland. Calling hours will be Saturday from 2:00-5:00 PM in the funeral home.
