Janet (Zullo) Verna, 90, of Ashland peacefully passed away Sat. March 22nd after a period of declining health.

Janet grew up in Medfield, the daughter of the late Alfred and Julia (DeGregorio) Zullo. She was the wife of the late Domenic Verna. Sister to the late Alfred Zullo and his late wife Gail.

Janet was a graduate of the Univ. of New Hampshire and worked as a microbiologist at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham for many years. Janet was a devoted member of St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland and served as a eucharistic minister for many years. She was an avid world traveler and gardener and treasured her feline companion Byron.

Janet is survived by her niece, Kim Cruz, and two nephews, Christopher and Jonathan Zullo. Janet's close friends and neighbors were her family, especially Sarah Pinto, Elizabeth Cavallo, Christine Daniels and the entire Cavallo family.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday April 4th at 11:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA. There are no calling hours.
