James Alan Sousa, 62 of Ashland passed away Sat. Aug. 13 ^th with his family at his side.  He was the son of the late Reginald and Paula (Horne) Sousa.  Jimmy worked for many years at Ashland Lumber Co. and later worked as a painter for Derby Company.  He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion in Ashland and member of their Color Guard.

James is survived by four children; Jessica Sousa of Marlboro, Matthew Sousa of Worcester, Keleigh Sousa of Ashland, and Dylan Sousa of Webster, brother, Scott Sousa of Ashland, sister, Pauline Saporetti of Framingham, 2 granddaughters, Elyssa and Jayda, his former wife, Jeannine (Patterson) Bettencourt of Sudbury, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday Aug. 20 ^th at 1:00 PM in the Ashland Fish & Game Club, 3 Ponderossa Rd.
