James T. Donnelly, 84, of Ashland formerly of Framingham passed away Tuesday April 26th surrounded by family. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late John and Jesse (Bell) Donnelly and husband of the late Pauline (Melanson) Donnelly. James worked as a computer programmer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Boston for over 30 years retiring in 1988. He was an avid golfer and loved to bowl. Mr. Donnelly served his country honorably with the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by three children; James Donnelly and his wife Nancy of Modesto, CA; Jeanne Donnelly of Bellingham; and Joan Monaco and her husband Paul of Ashland; five grandchildren; Bailey Donnelly, Erica Daloia, Ken Arpino, Julie Monaco, and Cole Monaco; one sister Marion Conk of Florida, and was the the father of the late Jeffrey Donnelly, and brother of the late John Donnelly, Richard Donnelly, Peg Lees, and Joan Sudol, all of New York.
