Irving Paul Rocheford, Jr., 83, of Ashland, passed away, Wed. Dec. 24th at his home in Ashland. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Irving and Lena (Dixon) Rocheford and husband of Elena (Guerra) Rocheford. They were married 62 years. Mr. Rocheford owned and operated Rocheford Construction for 50 years with his father and brothers, retiring in 1978. He served his country honorably with the Navy during WWII; and was a member of the V.F.W. He was a lifelong member of the Framingham Elks and was an avid boater. Mr. Rocheford was always devoted to his family and will be especially missed by his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Cheryl Butler and her husband William of Winthrop; Lorena Haven and her husband Paul of Framingham; Irving Rocheford III and his wife Cheryl of Ashland; Susan Nugent and her husband Terrence of Whitinsville; and Paula McKeown of Framingham, 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Rocheford of Lakeland, FL; and David Rocheford of Brewster, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Pauline Chapin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
