Hollis F. "Sonny" Thompson, 80 of Ashland passed away August 1st at his home following a period of declining health. He was the husband of Marion (Wylie) Thompson and they had been married 60 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by six children; Steven Thompson and his wife Laurette of Sandwich, Robert Thompson and his wife Sheila of Marlborough, Pat Warrington of Niceville, FL, Judi Black and her husband Ed of Framingham, Holly Cronos and her husband John of Grafton, and Linda Schube and her husband Mike of Ashland; one sister, Elinor Doncaster of Exeter, N.H; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Thelma Olivera, Carol Rosetti, Lois Eagan, and Donald Thompson. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday morning, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
