Hilda J. Duca, 57, of Ashland passed away Monday at her home surrounded by family. Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of John and Alice (Rooker) Dorff and wife to Michael Duca. Hilda was a graduate of Calvin College with two Masters Degrees in Special Education. She worked as a special education teacher with the Town of Marlborough and previously worked at the New England Center for Children with Autism in Southborough. Hilda enjoyed her time spent in South Dennisport on the ocean with her husband Mike and their boat.  Hilda was a member of the Ashland Day Committee and would spend Ashland Day working the food tent.

In addition to her parents and husband; she is survived by two daughters; Bethany Duca and her fiancé Matthew Jette of Ashland, and Michaela Duca of Ashland; two brothers; Peter Dorff and his wife Elizabeth of Griswold, CT; Richard Dorff and his wife Annette of Groton, MA; one sister, Laurie MacKinnon and her husband Scott of Weymouth, MA; brother in law, Anthony Duca and his wife Melissa of Ashland; and nieces and nephews; Katrina, Willem, John, Jordon, Jared, Jessie, Jamie, Conner, Jake, and Haley.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 12th at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ashland Fire Association, 70 Cedar St. Ashland, MA 01721
