Henry Joseph Morris, 83, lifelong resident of Ashland, passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 5th. He was the son of the late Albert and Freeda (Pitman) Morris and husband of 65 years to Dorothy (Hollett) Morris. Retired since 1977, Mr. Morris split his time between Okeechobee, FL in the winters and Ashland. Henry served his country honorably with the Navy during WWII. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by three children: Sharyn Flannery and her husband Ernie of Ashland; Dennis Morris and his wife Paula of Ashland; and Deborah Reardon of Rexford, NY; eight grandchildren: Michelle Carroll and her husband David; Ernie Flannery and his wife Kelly; Peter Flannery and his wife Christine; Christi Bredice and her husband John; Alicia Reardon, Nate Reardon and his wife Mary; Jeff Morris and his wife Pam; and Jennifer Oleniak and her husband Steve; three sisters: Mary Kennealy of Woonsocket, RI; Dorothy Hammond of Newton; and Patricia Donovan of Franklin, and 23 great-grandchildren. He was brother to the late Michael, Thomas, and Richard Morris, and Helen Schevalier A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9th at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland followed by burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
