Henry Fiorvanti, 86, of Ashland, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Kathleen Daniel Nursing Home in Framingham. He was the husband of Rita (Angileri) Fiorvanti, to whom he was married for 59 years. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Pasquali and Maria (Jengo) Fiorvanti. A resident of Ashland for many years, Mr. Fiorvanti worked for General Motors for 34 years. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Ashland VFW Post 2331, Natick Elks and Christopher Columbus Society in Framingham. He enjoyed bocce, gardening, golf, and trips to Foxwoods. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, James Fiorvanti of San Diego and Robert Fiorvanti of Ashland; two daughters, Diane Hansen and Maria Voorhees and her husband, George, all of Ashland; three grandchildren, Tina Falls, and George and Kathryn Voorhees; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Fiorvanti of North Carolina; and two sisters, Dorothy Cullucci of Holden and Jean Hauptman of Framingham. He was the brother of the late Marie Nichols, Anne Owen, and Frank, Joseph, Tony and Rudy Fiorvanti. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m., at St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland.
