Helena Jacqueline Murphy, 91 died Saturday, June 30th at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Chelsea, MA, she was the daughter of the late Murdock MacDonald and Helena (McShane) MacDonald. She was married to William E. Murphy, Jr. who died in 1974. Mrs. Murphy spent her formative years in Foxboro, MA and was a graduate of Foxboro High School Class of 1935. A longtime Ashland resident, she was retired as an occupational therapist from Cushing Hospital in Framingham, MA She is survived by her son, William E. Murphy of Ashland, and her daughter Patricia H. Murphy of Ashland. She also leaves three grandchildren: Lindsey and Stacy Haskell of San Diego, CA and AnneMarie Andersen of Seattle,WA. She was the mother of the late Kathleen D. Andersen and Maureen E. Murphy. A funeral Mass will be said on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty Street in Ashland with interment to follow in St. Stephen Cemetery in Framingham.
