Obituary

Helena E. Boccadoro, 62, of Ashland passed away unexpectedly Thursday Jan. 29, 2026.  Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helena (Kitchell) McLoughlin and wife of Joseph Boccadoro for 35 years.  Helena worked as an administrative secretary for the MA Dept. of Environmental Protection.  She was an avid gardener, skilled cook, had a flair for fashion and a keen eye for interior decorating. She liked fine things, but only if purchased after painstaking research of best price, sale or coupon application. She was a thoughtful gift-giver and loved spending time with her new grandson.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Cheryl-Anne Melson and her husband Andrew of Sanford, ME, and Anthony Boccadoro of Ashland, one grandson, Cassian Melson, siblings, Thomas McLoughlin of Norwood, Maggie Cignarella of Foxborough, George McLoughlin and his wife Diane of Franklin, Elizabeth Levierge and her husband James of Plainville, and Theresa Rosmus and her husband Michael of Portland, ME, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Visiting hours will be held Wed. from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
