Helen L. Winslow, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 15th at the Kathleen Daniel Nursing Home in Framingham. She was the wife of the late John F. Winslow who died in 1998. A life-long resident of Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Theodosi and Maria Paraskeva (Zurek) Tokaruck and sister to the late Pauline. Helen was a graduate of Framingham High School Class of 1940 and later graduated from Fay Secretarial School in Boston where she resided and worked until her marriage in 1944. She was an administrative assistant for 30 years at Framingham State College in the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education. She was a lifelong member of the Grace Congregational Church, Framingham, a charter member of the Framingham Heart Study, and a member of the Framingham Historical Society. Helen was an accomplished artist who enjoyed oil painting and watercolor. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth W. Colley and her husband Thomas of Lancaster, MA and Pauline Winslow of Dallas, TX. Services are private and under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland.
