Obituary

Helen Louise Fedorchak, 86, of Framingham , passed away peacefully at Metrowest Medical Center on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Born in New York , NY ; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Fries) Feller and the wife of Michael Fedorchak, her loving husband of 66 years. Helen worked first as a volunteer librarian at the Hemenway School in Framingham and was later employed as a secretary with the Framingham School Department until her retirement in 1986. She was always actively involved with her children's many activities, volunteering for countless school and scouting events. After their retirements, Helen and Mike enjoyed traveling. They visited family and friends across the country and took yearly cruises including Hawaii and Alaska . In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by six children; Michael Fedorchak and his wife, Deborah, of Center Barnstead, NH; Stephen Fedorchak of Ashland; Mark Fedorchak of Ashland; David Fedorchak of Madison, NH; Susan Schirmer and her husband, Dwight, of Milford; and Richard Fedorchak and his wife, Sheri, of Shepherdstown, WV.; eight grandchildren; Kristin Fedorchak, Kerri Batra, Alyssa Fedorchak, Valerie Fedorchak, Jennifer Schirmer, Stephanie Fedorchak, Sarah Fedorchak, and Michael J. Fedorchak; and four great-grandchildren; Victoria Bamford, Michael T Bamford, Anjali Batra, and Devya Batra; two brothers; Leonard Feller and his wife Beatrice; and Lawrence Feller and his wife Sheila; and two sisters; Barbara Stoia and her husband, John; and Patricia Haeberle and her husband, Robert. She was the mother of the late Judith Ann Fedorchak and sister to the late Joseph Feller and his late wife, Marilyn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 9th at 9:00 AM in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty Street, Ashland , MA. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Ste. 2 ; Norwood , MA 02062 or the Callahan Senior Center , 535 Union Ave. Framingham , MA 01702
