Harriet Gates Davis was born January 9, 1922, the daughter of Edith and Edson Gates. She was the sister of William, Alfred, Harold, Elinor Marble, and Shirley Morrisette. She was married for 65 years to the late Ronald Davis, and they were the parents of two sons, Brian and Edson "Ted", who pre-deceased her in 2002.

She was educated in the Ashland schools, graduating in 1939. She was a clerk at Telechron before moving to Vermont in 1949 with her family where her husband Ron was a teacher and coach in Vermont schools. Upon returning to Ashland in 1954, she was a teacher at Little Folk Farm in Framingham and Ashland. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge.

She is survived by her son; Brian, and his daughters Rebecca and Katherine and Katherine's daughter Sage; Ted's widow, Pauline; and their children, John, Jacoby, Jasmine, and Jordan.

At her request there will be no services.

She was a good kid.
