FAWKES, Gregory G. 66, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 8th at his home. Born in Boston, he is the son of Gloria (Peterson) Fawkes and the late Leslie Fawkes. He was married to the late Linda (Rooney) Fawkes who died in 2006. A resident of Ashland for 24 years, Mr. Fawkes worked as a plumber for many years. Greg served his country honorably with the Navy during the Vietnam War receiving 4 bronze stars. In addition to his mother; he is survived by three children; Lisa Linardy and her husband Robert of Ashland; Gregory Fawkes of Ashland; and Carrie Fawkes of Ashland; four grandchildren; Gregory and Adrianna Fawkes; Mylania Lambert and Arianna Gove; two brothers; Douglas of Framingham; and Leslie of West Roxbury; and two sisters; Cheryl Todesca of Westwood; and Christine Royse of Billerica. He was the brother of the late Charlotte Fawkes. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15th at 10 am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in ASHLAND. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
