ASHLAND - Gilda H. Adams, 79, died peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Richard Adams with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She leaves behind her son Dale Adams of Maine and her daughter Terry Harrison and her husband James of Northborough, and two grandchildren; Greg Harrison and Kelly Harrison. A long time resident of Ashland, Gilda was born and raised Alberta Canada. She worked for many years as a secretary at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Hopkinton, MA. She enjoyed square dancing and was a passionate gardener who loved the outdoors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 3 to 5 pm at Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St, Ashland, MA 01721. In lieu of flowers in the spirit of remembrance, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
