Gertrude M. Keeler age 82 of Quincy, passed away suddenly on April 17, 2015. Gertrude was the daughter of the late Charles and Bridget Cullinane Keeler. She was predeceased by her brothers Charles and Robert, and her sister Ann Keeler Adams. Gertrude devoted her entire career to AT&T and New England Telephone, where she started as an operator and diligently worked to become the manager of the Boston Headquarters mailroom. Gertrude is survived by her brother-in-law, William Adams of Marlboro, MA, her nieces and nephews: Pamela Keeler Burns of Pensacola, Florida, William Peterson and wife Luanne of Ashland, Massachusetts, Susan Haught of Houston, TX, Kathleen Peterson O'Brien of Fort Myers, FL, Carol Keeler-Ridenour of Mary Ester, FL, Richard Adams and wife Rita of Natick, MA and Paula Guitard and husband Paul of Northborough, MA. Although Gert did not have children of her own, she was affectionately known in the family as the "fairy godmother" to all her nieces and nephews. Gertrude's passion was to be around her family and celebrate and praise all their accomplishments. Although her family will forever miss her, they are comforted to know she has joined her siblings and parents and walks in paradise with the Lord. A graveside service will be held Thursday April 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 990 LaGrange St, W. Roxbury, MA. Family and friends are welcome.
