Gena Theresa Ferrelli, 90, of Framingham passed away May 2, 2014. She was the wife of the late Antonio Ferrelli who died in 2006. They were married for 60 years. She was born in Southborough, the daughter of the late Venanzio Golgata and Marietta (Morrizini) Golgata. A resident of Framingham for over 60 years, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham. Mrs. Ferrelli worked for many years in downtown Framingham at Kent's Home Fashions and Alpens. Mrs. Ferrelli is survived by her son, Edward Ferrelli and his wife Jeanette of Ashland, and three grandchildren, Michael Ferrelli of North Grafton, Lisa Ferrelli of Westborough, and Steven Ferrelli of Framingham. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Tina Ferrelli, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dominic Golgata, Peter Golgata, Victor Golgata, and her sister, Nora Piccinotti. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 6th at 10:00am in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or a charity of one's choice.
