Obituary

Gary E. MacAlpine 57 of Holliston passed away December 9th in Framingham at the Metrowest Medical Center. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Arthur MacAlpine and Marjorie (Pond) MacAlpine. Besides his mother he is survived by one son: Gary MacAlpine Jr. and his wife Katie of Milford. Two daughters: Julianne Schuler and her husband Kevin of Milford and Wendy MacAlpine of Milford. Two brothers: Scotty MacAlpine and his wife Jacey of Yarmouth Port and Alan MacAlpine and his wife Rita of Ashland. One grandson: Charles Schuler of Milford. Gary played goalie for Dover-Sherborn High School hockey team before going on to play in the semi-pros. He worked as a truck driver for multiple companies over the years, including; Almac North American, Mayflower, 3-way, Tresca Bros, and owned his own company MacAlpine Trucking. He also worked as a subcontractor for the town of Sherborn. Hobbies included restoring antique cars, camping, Nascar racing, music - oldies & country. Calling hours will be held from the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland on Saturday afternoon, December 21st from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society @ www.nationalmssociety.org.
