Francis R. Notturno 77 of Ashland passed away June 10th at his home. He was the husband of the late Elisabeth (Luch) Notturno who died in 1999. A graduate of Worcester Trade High School, he owned Notturno Aluminum Siding Co. and worked as a bus driver with the Framingham School Dept. for 35 years. He was a member of St. Tarcisius Church, the Christopher Columbus Club, Framingham Elks, American Legion Post 77, and the V.F.W. Post 2331. He was an active member of the Ashland Lions Club. Mr. Notturno served his country honorably with the Unites States Air Force in 1950 serving during the Korean Conflict. He continued his Air Force career in the Reserves, retiring in 1990 as Senior Master Sergeant. He is survived by his daughter, Lt Col Debra Notturno-Strong and her husband, Jay T Strong, of San Antonio Texas, his son, Francis R. Notturno, Jr, and his wife, Judith (Capozzoli) of Medway, two grandsons, Michael of Medway and Matthew of Glasgow Scotland, two granddaughters, Brittany of Medway and Alexandra of San Antonio, Texas and four sisters Teri Nealon,of Hopkinton Ma, Rosemarie Herbst,of Kirtland Ohio, Ann Halsing, Mendon Ma, Marylou Notturno, Fiskdale Ma and the Late Phyliss Mendoza, along with several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 16th at 10:00am in St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
