Frances Mildred McDonald, 84 of Holliston former longtime resident of Ashland passed away Mon Oct. 7 ^th after a period of declining health. Born in Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mildred (Porter) Gidney. She was the wife of the late Wayman F. McDonald who died in 1990. Frances worked for Fenwall Co of Ashland as an assembler for over 25 years. She enjoyed bingo with the Ashland Seniors.

Mrs. McDonald is survived by three children; Dennis H. McDonald and his wife Jacilu of Bellingham, Pamela D. Davis and her husband Thomas of Bellingham, Wayne M McDonald of Ashland, 10 grandchildren, one brother, Edwin Gidney of Mendon, and one sister, Barbara Peters of Canada. She was the mother of the late Frederick McDonald and sister of the late Kenneth Gidney.

A funeral service will be held Tue. Oct. 15 ^th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Tue. from 9:00-10:45am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452
