FRANCES A. (DAVIS) BAIN
(January 18, 1927 – January 15, 2025)
Frances A. Bain (Nee Davis) passed away peacefully at home in Ashland on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Born and raised in Framingham, she came to live in Ashland following her marriage on January 5, 1952 to her beloved husband of 61 years, Arnold Bain (pre-deceased). Having worked as a switchboard operator in Boston where she and Arnold met on the dance floor of the Raymore-Playmore dance hall, they subsequently moved to what would become the Bain family home for the next 73 years where she carried on as wife, homemaker and mother of her four children, Karen (Bain-Morgado), Paula (Oliveira), Mathew and John. After her children were grown, she began a second career as a receptionist for Perini Corporation in Framingham until she and Arnold both retired and began to travel the world. In addition to her four children: Karen and husband Sam, Paula, Matthew and wife Kathryn and John and wife Kathryn, Frances leaves behind five grandchildren: Shiloh Morgado (deceased), Kaitlin Domestico, Stephanie Polewarczic, Marissa Mitchell and Alandra Bain; seven great-grandchildren: Maia and Silvestre Morgado, Luca and Isabella Domestico, Joseph Polewarczic, Isla and Jack Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews including: Patricia and Nicole Demers, Edward Davis, Kenneth Bates, Judith Vohden and John Davis.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
