Florence R. McKinstry, 83, of Framingham, passed away Friday, May 27th at her home in Framingham. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (MacPherson) Moore and wife of the late Harold McKinstry who died in 2000. A lifelong resident of Framingham, Mrs. McKinstry worked as a crossing guard in Framingham for many years, retiring in 1999. She is survived by six children: Leslie Cascone and her husband Mike of Clarkston, MI; Chip McKinstry of Framingham; Debbie Olson and her husband Steve of Ashland; Dennis McKinstry, Paul McKinstry and Kelly McKinstry all of Framingham; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick Moore; one sister, Frances Carroll, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers: Roland, Raymond, Ralph, and George Moore; and her sisters: Ruth Roberts and Barbara Moore. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2nd at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
