Fern E. Stubbart, 70, of Ashland, passed away Monday Feb. 10, 2025.  She was the daughter of Arlene (Clark) Gibbs and the late Donald Miller.  Fern was the wife of John Stubbart.  They were married 43 years.

Fern worked as a hairdresser at Hair Today in Natick MA.  She was a talented seamstress who made her own clothing and home decorations and an artist who enjoyed oil painting. She was also an avid reader, especially mystery and thriller novels.

In addition to her husband and mother, Fern is survived by two sons, David Lang and his wife Laura of Roslindale, and Jeffery Stubbart and his fiance' Nickolis Giannino of Ashland, two grandchildren, Eleanor and Reid Lang, and seven siblings, Donna McGann, Steven Miller, Mike Miller, Scott Miller, Tammy Gibbs, Cheryl Gibbs, and Chad Gibbs.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday Feb. 15th from 10:00-11:30am in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.   A family remembrance service will be held Saturday at 11:30am in the funeral home.
