Ethel E. (McCormack) McDonald, 87, of Framingham passed away February 16th at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham. Mrs. McDonald was a registered nurse and a U.S. Navy nurse during WWII. She was retired from the State of Massachusetts. Mrs. McDonald had been a long-time choir member at St. Tarcisius Church. She is survived by one son, Michael McDonald of Berlin, MD; a grandson Kevin McDonald, and a great-grandson Colin McDonald both of Boca Raton, FL; and a granddaughter, Jennifer McDonald of Annapolis, MD. Mrs. McDonald is also survived by nieces Mary Jantzen of Framingham, Susan Dunn of Falmouth, eleven grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and one great grand-niece. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 21st at 11:00 AM at St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St, in Framingham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in Mrs. McDonald's memory to St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.
