Esther E. (Thorensen) Scott, 83 of Barnstable, formally of Concord, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday August 24, 2013 at Emeritus at Farm Pond in Framingham surrounded by family. Born in Concord MA, she was the wife of the late Stuart Scott for 39 years. She leaves behind her loving husband Charles Lindberg of Barnstable MA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Thoresen and Ruth Schulte Thoresen. Beloved mother of Gary Scott and wife Debra of Holliston, Randall Scott and wife Cathy of Gardner, and Jeffery Scott of Littleton. Devoted sister of Paul Thorensen and wife Sandra of Florida, and Bob Thorensen and wife Barbara of Bedford MA. Also the sister of the late Helen Vettrus and Edward Thorensen. She leave behind four grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew Scott of Holliston and Christopher and Taylor Scott of Gardner. Esther loved to sew, play the piano, work in the garden, spending the winters in Florida and also enjoyed baking. The family would like to thank the staff and memory care caregivers for their loving care at Farm Pond. Also a special Thank You to Affinity Hospice and Excella Homecare. A memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 30th in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland, MA at 11AM. There will be calling hours from 10 AM prior to service time.
