Elizabeth (McLellan) Smith, 84, of Ashland passed away peacefully Monday April 1, 2024. Born in Waterville, ME, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Isabelle (Hodgdon) Field.  She was the wife of the late Kermit B. Smith who died in 2007. Elizabeth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked as a waitress throughout her life at both Finnerty's in Natick and Anthony's Steak House in Framingham. She volunteered at the Ashland Senior Center where she formed many friendships. Elizabeth enjoyed going to the casino to play the poker slot machines, yard sales, shopping, and cooking for her family. Her chocolate chip cookies will be missed.

Mrs. Smith leaves her daughter: Cindy Durkee and late husband Dick of Franklin, son-in-law Lynn Prashaw of Hudson, 3 grandchildren: Ryan Durkee, Trevor Prashaw, Brandon Prashaw, and 4 great grandchildren: Mark, Chloe, Blake and Evan. She is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Prashaw and granddaughter Kimberly Durkee.

Elizabeth was a great person to have shared time with and she will be missed by all.
