Elizabeth (Shahood) Salem, 93, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Metrowest Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Manseur Salem who passed away in 2006. Elizabeth lived in Framingham for 54 years before moving to Marlborough seven years ago. She and her husband were married for 65 years prior to his passing. She is survived by one son, Thomas Salem of Caldwell, Texas, and one daughter, Diane Doyle of Marlborough; four grandchildren; Thomas Salem, Jr. and his wife Sandra, and Lori Salem, all of Caldwell, Texas; Stephen Doyle and his wife Dinara, of Brighton, MA; and Paul Doyle and his wife Karen of Marietta, Georgia. She also leaves 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday, June 14th at 10:00am in St. Matthew's Church, Southville Rd. in Southborough followed by interment in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held from the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland on Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
