Elizabeth Katherine Mazzaro, 88, a longtime resident of Ashland, passed away on Friday Aug. 8th. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Alice (O'Brien) Frieswick. She was also the wife of the late Victor Mazzaro, who passed away in 1996. Mrs. Mazzaro resided in Ashland for 50 years. She was the past president of the Framingham Catholic Women's Club and the past president of St. Cecilia's Women's Guild. Mrs. Mazzaro is survived by her children: Linda Kimball of Hopkinton, Karen O'Grady and her husband Thomas of Franklin, Vicki Martelli and her husband Richard of Northborough, Donna Aucoin and her husband David of Ashland, and Victor Mazzaro and his wife Nancy of Ashland; her grandchildren, Christopher and Brian Kimball, Kelly and Tom O'Grady, Kimberly and Richard Martelli, and Kaitlyn and Daniel Aucoin, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother James R. Frieswick of Ft. Myers, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Luke Kimball, her sister, Olive P. Kannar and her brother, William Frieswick. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia's Church, Esty Street, Ashland on Monday, Aug. 11th at 9:00am with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland. There are no calling hours.
