Obituary

Elizabeth Jane Locke, 73 of Ashland passed away Sun Nov. 7, 2021.  Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Bliss) Devitt and wife of Allan Locke for 53 years.  A graduate of Framingham South High Class of 1966, she went on to work for Ed & Al's Bus Co. in Ashland and later Mass Bay Community College in the registration department.  She was a member of the Ashland Lions Club and parishioner of St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland.  Liz enjoyed vacationing with her family in the New England area; especially Dolly Copp Campground in Gotham, NH, Ossipee Lake, NH,  Old Orchard Beach and Wells Beach in Maine.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Timothy Locke of Cumberland, RI, Kevin Locke and his husband Emmanuel Calvillo Camarillo of Los Angeles, CA, and Maureen Fuentes and her husband Christian of Millis, three grandchildren, CJ, Leyna, and Lucy, two brothers, William Devitt of Holliston and John Devitt of Colorado, three sisters, Mary Pearce of Florida, Margaret Collum of Rindge, NH, and Kathleen Tascione of Bellingham, and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Thomas Devitt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Sat. Nov. 13th at 10:30am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
