She graduated from Dover-Sherborn High School and went on to study at Denison University, where she majored in French. Liz and David were married in September of 1984 and moved to Ashland shortly thereafter. Having children was always a dream of Liz's and it showed by the way she delighted in being a mother and always made Emily and Ben her first priority. Apart from being a stay-at-home mom for several years, Liz also taught aerobics at Suburban Health Club and later worked full-time at Whole Foods in Framingham.
