Elizabeth Anne Ellis, 82, formerly of Ashland, passed away Sat. June 28th at her home with her family by her side.  She was the daughter of the late James and Anne (Bisson) Weir and wife of the late John Oliver Ellis Jr. who died in 2004.  Elizabeth was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and traveling.

She is survived by two children, John Wesley Ellis and wife Jennifer Ellis (Buscone) of Douglas Ma, and Rebecca Elizabeth DiVirgilio (Ellis) of Pomfret Center, CT, and four grandchildren, Anthony Kilcullen of Worcester, MA, Mark John DiVirgilio of Thompson, CT, Elizabeth Anne Smith (Ellis) of Thompson, CT and Serena Rose Ellis of Pomfret Center, CT.

Visiting hours will be held Mon. July 7th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.

A graveside service will be held Tue. at 11:00am in Maplewood North Parish Cemetery, N. Main St. Haverhill, MA/ Plaistow, NH.

The main entrance to the cemetery is in Haverhill, Massachusetts, however the majority of the cemetery is in Plaistow , NH.
