Elizabeth F."Betty" (Forrest) Coburn 92 of Ashland,Ma. passed away April 9th at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late William L. Coburn Sr. who died in 1994, they had been married 56 years. Born in Meriden,Conn. She was the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Kelly) Forrest and had lived in Ashland since 1938. Before retiring in 1976 Mrs. Coburn had worked in the jewelry department of Jordan Marsh Store in Framingham over 20 years. She was a longtime member of St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland and one of her joys was singing in the choir. She was a former church CCD teacher and Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Coburn is survived by one daughter: Patricia Montaquila and her husband Louis of Sunrise,Fla. Two grandchildren: Erika Piechowski of Sunrise,Fla. And Mark Piechowski of North Adams,Ma. She was the mother of the late William L. Coburn Jr. who died in 1969. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday morning at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church Esty St. Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery Ashland,Ma. Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon in the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland from 3 to 5 pm.
