Eleanor A. Fannon, 94, of Ashland passed away Friday April 4th after a long illness. Born in Sherborn, she was the daughter of Edward and Agnes (McCarthy) Branagan. Eleanor was the wife of the late Arthur "Dusty" Fannon and was married 54 years. A resident of Ashland for 64 years, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Cecelia's Church in Ashland. Mrs. Fannon is survived by three children; Carole Gaudette and her husband Edward of Rockville, MD; John Fannon and his wife Brenda of Holliston, MA; and Julie Fannon and her husband Roderick McLeod of Upton; two grandchildren, Christopher Fannon and Sara LaBrecque, and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Tristan Fannon. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday April 9th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church 54 Esty St. in Ashland with burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick. One calling hour will be held Wednesday from 8:00-8:45am prior to the Mass at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
