Edward J. Travaglini, 64 of Ashland, passed away Thursday, December 7th at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Framingham, Mr. Travaglini was the son of the late Ernesto and Elvira (Rinaldi) Travaglini. He had lived in Ashland for over thirty years. Mr. Travaglini was a Master electrician and had practiced his trade for more than 45 years. Mr. Travaglini was an Army veteran who served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Travaglini leaves his fiancé and companion of 28 years, Patricia Sears of Holliston; two daughters, Dana Buchanio and Leigh Ann Cole both of Hopedale; one sister, Gloria Holbrook of CT; three brothers, Louis Travaglini and his wife Priscilla of Ashland, Ernest Travaglini and his wife Kathy, and Arthur Travaglini of Marlborough; several grandchildren; and sister-in-law Lillian Travaglini of Framingham. He was also the brother of the late John Travaglini of Framingham. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11th at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com) 325 Main Street in Ashland. Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 10th from 3 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
