Edward "Tom" Porcella, 76, of Ashland, passed away, Sunday, Sept. 11th at his home in Ashland. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Antino and Henrietta (Miller) Porcella and husband of Maureen (Powers) Porcella. They were married 49 years. A resident of Ashland for 45 years, Mr. Porcella owned and operated Tranco Garage in Ashland for many years. He was a member of the Southborough Rod & Gun Club. Edward served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Maureen Carmichael and her husband Scott of Ashland; Robin Porcella of Ashland; and Scott Porcella of Mendon; two grandchildren; Barry and Walter Carmichael; and two sisters; Phyllis Cutting and Eleanor Bagge. He was the brother of the late Franny Tosi, Anthony Porcella, Gene Porciello; and William Porcella. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
