Edward M. Kavanaugh, 82, of Ashland passed away on January 21st after a period of declining health. He was the loving husband of 58 years to Amanda (Meyer) Kavanaugh and son to the late Edward and Rose (Perini) Kavanaugh. In addition to his wife, Ed leaves behind a daughter Nancy Kavanaugh, his special daughter Helen, son Paul, and the late Edward M. Kavanaugh Jr. He also leaves two grandsons; Cole and Nate, three sisters; Rosalie Cotton, Jane Borger, and Susan Herron, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed lived in Ashland his whole life as did his parents and grandparents. A graduate of Northeastern University, Ed worked in the construction field from water boy to civil engineer. A memorial service will be held Friday January 30th at 11:30am in Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Central Street in Holliston with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. One calling hour will be held 10:30-11:30am prior to the service at the church.
