Obituary

Eduard Charles Huppi, 59, of Ashland, passed away, Sunday, May 16th at his home surrounded by family. Born in Germantown, PA; he was the son of Katherine (Kurt) Huppi and the late Vernon Frank Huppi. A graduate of Babson College, Eduard was the chief financial officer of Century Manufacturing - Tywood Corporation in Holliston. He was previously a vice president with the Rubenstein Company in Philadelphia and vice president with the Wilmington Trust Company in Wilmington, DE. Mr. Huppi was the treasurer and executive board member of the Metrowest Chamber of Commerce, voted Lion of the Year with the Sherborn Lions Club serving as president, secretary, and a driving force with the District 33K Public Relations Chair for 2010. He was an elder, deacon, and capital campaign member of the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury and long devoted committee member of the John P. Garrahan Community Prayer Breakfast Committee. He served as a chair person with the Lowland Industrial Park Assoc. in Holliston and was a member of the Descendants of the Signers of the Constitution and the Sons of the American Revolution. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons; Kurt W. Huppi of West Chester, PA; and Scott Huppi of St. Petersburg, FL; one grandson; Joseph W. Huppi of Florida; two brothers; Konrad E. Huppi and his wife Rebecca of Herndon, VA; and Otto E. Huppi and his wife Ingrid of Marthalen, Switzerland; aunts; Faith Kurt and her husband Joseph W. Tiberio of Sherborn, MA; Camellia Kurt-Ciocca of Holliston, MA; and Birdie L. Hallworth and her husband Robert of Lititz, PA; six nieces and nephews; Kristin, Katie, John, Kyra, and Ryne Huppi of Herndon, VA; and Vernon D. Huppi of Marthalen, Switzerland; and a special caring friend, Mary Weber. He was cousin to the late Frederick M. Tiberio. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 18th at 10:00am in the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury, 330 Concord Rd.
