Roche, Edgar S. Ashland,Ma. Edgar S. Roche 85 of Ashland passed away Sunday, February 24th at the MetroWest Medical Center Framingham. He was the husband of Jean (MacNeil) Roche. Born in Cheti Camp, Nova Scotia Canada, He was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (LaForte) Roche and he had lived in Ashland over 25 years. He had been employed with the Town of Natick Water Department over 25 years. He loved music and was a member of the Natick VFW Band for 10 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Gary Roche and his wife Delores of Framingham, Charlene Davis and her husband Mark of Framingham, Deborah Oberhelman and her husband Chet of Woonsocket, R.I. Loretta Valentiejus and her husband Peter of St. Petersburg, FL. One brother: Richard Roche of Natick and three sisters: Emily Dion of Palm beach,FL. Rita Doyle of Hudson,N.H. and Claudette Coto of Chelmsford,Ma. Seven grandchildren: Michael, Sean and Brianna Davis, April, Jill Oberhelman and Gabrielle, Isabelle and Alexander Valentiejus. A funeral Mass will be said on Friday morning at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church Esty St. Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery Ashland. Calling hours will be held in the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland on Thursday evening from 5-8pm.
