Douglas D. Bolanes, Sr, 46 of Framingham, passed away, Sunday, May 1st from from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in Boston, he was the son of Barbara (Smith) Bolanes and the late George E. Bolanes. He was the husband of Joanne (Varano) Bolanes. A resident of Framingham, Mr. Bolanes was employed with Verizon as a line foreman for 22 years. In addition to his wife and mother, Douglas is survived by two children; Alycia and Zachery Bolanes, both of Framingham; brother, George A. Bolanes of West Roxbury; sister, Brenda J. Naddaff of Hyde Park; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Douglas D. Bolanes, Jr; and brother to the late Mark W. Bolanes. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7th at 11:00am at the Metrowest Worship Center, 2 80 Pleasant St. in Ashland.
