Obituary

Dorothy Dwyer (Cavallo) Morreale, 86, formerly of Ashland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10th at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. Born in Newton, the daughter of Isabel (Dwyer) Cavallo and Anthony Cavallo, she was the wife of Joseph Morreale who died in 1997. She leaves four sons; Joseph P. Jr of Shrewsbury, Edward J. of Laconia, NH, Kenneth R. of Londonderry, NH, John A. of Webster and the late Gerard A. who died in 1990; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Margaret Yanco of Manchester, NH, Edward Cavallo of Ashland, and Sister Mary Jane, S.N.D. of Somerville. She was sister to the late James Anthony Cavallo. Dorothy retired from Data General, Westborough in 1988 where she worked with the telecommunications-telemarketing group. She was a charter member of the Commonwealth Figure Skating Club, a longtime member of the SuAsCo Watershed Association, a former member of the Ashland Conservation Commission, and member of the Ashland Seniors where she enjoyed writing greeting cards. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 14th at 11:00am in St. Matthew's Parish, 105 Southville St. Southborough. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
