Dorothy (Stevens) Awad, 87, of Ashland passed away March 20, 2006. She was the wife of the late Albert Awad. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Jennie (Yandechka) Stevens. Mrs. Awad had lived in Ashland for more than 55 years. Mrs. Awad leaves one sister, Elizabeth Andon of Cambridge; and one brother, Paul Stevens of Damariscotta, ME. She was sister to the late Stella Zicko of Natick, Sophie Roden of Hingham and Christopher Stevens of Bedford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday March 24th at 9:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty Street in Ashland. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Matarese Funeral Home (www.mataresefuneral.com), 325 Main Street, in Ashland on Thursday March 23rd from 5-8:00 PM.
