Dorothy M. Angelo, 97, of Marlborough, formerly of Ashland, passed away Monday Oct. 21st. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Evelina (Trudel) Maher and wife of the late Victor Angleo. Dorothy assembled bomb hooks during WWII and would later work for many years with Framingham Savings Bank. She was a past woman of the year recipient from the Framingham Business and Professional Woman's Association. She was a past member of the Catholic Woman's Guild of St. Bridgett's Church in Framingham and member of St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. Mrs. Angelo is survived by her son; Robert Angelo and his wife Amy of Ashland; grandchildren; Sarah Angelo-Haight of Ely, Iowa; and Ryan Angelo of Pelham, NH; niece, Tiare Maher, and cousin Bill Pare and his wife Marilyn of Colora, MD. She was the sister of the late Leonard Maher and Herbert Maher Jr. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 29th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
