Doreen O. Miles, 79, of Ashland passed away Monday April 29th after a period of declining health. Born in Marion, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Juliette (Bourgault) Oberg and wife of William L. Miles. They were married 62 years. A resident of Ashland for 55 years, Mrs. Miles was a devoted homemaker and participated in many of her children's activities including Cub Scouts Pack 1 and Brownie Girl Scouts. She was a generous and loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children; William L. Miles, Jr. and his wife Donna of Ashland; Dava Dunne and her husband Michael of North Grafton; Stephen G. Miles and Scott B. Miles, both of Ashland; six grandchildren; Caeli and Brynn Dunne, Scott Miles, Jr. and Samantha Miles, and Connor and Allyson Miles, and one brother, Robert G. Oberg and his wife Paula of Center Barnstead, NH. She was the sister of the late Stephen Oberg and the late Jacqueline Irvine. A funeral service will be held Friday May 3rd at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.
