Donald Healy, 90 of Framingham passed away peacefully Wed. Jan. 10, 2024.  Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Tierney) Healy.   He was the loving husband of Mary (Doyle) Healy who passed away in 2020.  Donald attended Boston University, where he played hockey and graduated in 1960 with a degree in communications.  He went on to work as a claims examiner for Liberty Mutual Insurance retiring in 1993.  A longtime member of the Framingham Elks, he was an avid boston sports fan, enjoyed playing golf, and grew a wonderful vegetable and flower garden every year.  Mr. Healy served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952-56 aboard the USS Valley Forge. Mr. Healy is survived by his children: Dr. Kevin Healy and wife Ambassador Sarah-Ann Lynch, Thomas Healy and wife Maureen, Eileen Boches and husband Brian, Paul Healy and wife Sade, Brian Healy and wife Karen, the late Donald Healy who passed away in 2019 and his wife Randi Healy, and his twin sister, Joan McCarthy, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Caputo (Healy), and brothers Paul, Richard, Robert, and Thomas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wed. Jan. 17th at 10:30am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.  There are no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donald's name to the American Heart Association - www.heart.org
